Paper Cloth Palooooza

Saturday, May 16

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Squirrel Hill Branch

1:00-3:30

Making paper cloth is a relaxing and fun way to play with color and pattern. And, when you finish, you’ll have unique pieces of this versatile material you can use for countless things! Paper cloth has the properties of both fabric and paper, so you can stitch on it, fold it, cut it, collage with it, make jewelry or book covers out of it and more!

During the workshop, you’ll learn to use stencils on a gel plate to make fun patterns on tissue paper. Then you’ll adhere it to muslin to create beautiful, versatile paper cloth!

You will leave the workshop with at least two 12 × 12 pieces of paper cloth and ideas/instructions for how to use it!

This workshop is for anyone and everyone who needs a little restorative making - no experience necessary!
