Who are we?

Whimsy Guild is a community for creative exploration, located in Pittsburgh, PA!

The mission of The Whimsy Guild is to provide opportunities to embrace your inner maker, celebrate wonder and make genuine connections with others in a playful environment with no perfectionism needed! Whimsy Guild is creativity for all!

What does this look like?

We’re just getting started! But, for now, it looks like monthly, in-person creative get togethers to make and learn, plus the Spring 2026 Mini-Retreat! A Whimsy Guild event can take many forms, but its purpose will always be to fill your creative cup in a low-stakes, high-fun way! They include:

  • Making something with your hands.

  • Eating something delicious.

  • Exploring new artistic ideas and techniques.

  • Making friends.

  • Having fun!

Who is responsible for all this whimsy?

The Whimsy Guild is a project of Aimee DeFoe, former teacher and frequent creative dabbler.

Her love for sharing the joy and restorative benefits of making with others sparked this project!

She believes everyone needs time away from the day-to-day grind and way too much screen time. She sincerely hopes you will come play along!
